Stuart MacKellar Appointed Managing Director of Amlin Bermuda

Amlin Bermuda Ltd., Amlin's wholly owned reinsurance business which opened for business on 1 December 2005, has appointed Stuart MacKellar as Managing Director, subject to the necessary work permit being granted by the Immigration Department.
Trained as a chartered accountant with BDO Stoy Hayward, Stuart moved to Bermuda in 1995 as a senior auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick, Moore Stephens & Butterfield. He joined Alea in 1999 and from 2004 onwards, he was Chief Financial Officer and Head of the Bermuda operations of Alea (Bermuda) Ltd and Alea Group Holdings (Bermuda) Ltd.
Stuart will take responsibility for all non-underwriting activities and will work closely with Underwriting Director John Andrews to enhance and develop Amlin Bermuda's strategic position in the Group.
