Amlin Bermuda appoints senior underwriter
Amlin’s wholly-owned reinsurance business, Amlin Bermuda, has appointed Charles Penruddocke as Leading Class Underwriter, Specialty Lines. He will focus on Proportional and Special Risks and report to Amlin Bermuda Underwriting Director, Rob Wyatt.
Charles joins from Arch Re Bermuda, where he was the Chief International Property & Specialty Underwriter for the last ten years. He was instrumental in establishing the company and for expanding the international property and speciality lines. Prior to this, Charles held senior positions with both PXRE and F&G Re, as well as establishing Greig Fester Reinsurance in the North America.
During his 35 years in the reinsurance industry, Charles has acquired expertise across multiple business lines, as well as a wide network of contacts and relationships. An accomplished linguist, he also has a strong track record of developing successful teams and nurturing younger underwriting talent, both strengths which will useful within the Amlin Group .
