Ben Savill

Ben joined Amlin plc in 1997 via the Lloyd’s graduate programme and transferred to Amlin Bermuda on commencement of trading on 1 December 2005. He gained experience on the US Risk excess, catastrophe and casualty accounts prior to being appointed Property Treaty Underwriter with responsibility for US and Canadian accounts. In addition to his underwriting responsibilities, Ben has assisted in the development of internal rating models and the application of proprietary models such as RMS and AIR. He has also been heavily involved in outwards reinsurance and large loss scenario management.

Richard Holden
Underwriter




Richard Holden is a member of the Catastrophe US & Risk XL team.  Richard joined Amlin Bermuda in 2007 from Wellington Underwriting plc, where he had been a non-marine Property Treaty underwriter for the previous three years. He joined the insurance industry in 2001, having studied Business and Economics at Cardiff University. He has held various roles in marine hull, liability, cargo and specie classes. Richard is ACII qualified and an experienced user of RMS and AIR catastrophe modelling tools.

 

 

Michaela Bradshaw
Assistant Underwriter

Bermudian national Michaela entered the insurance industry in 2001. She spent three years with Bermuda Insurer BF&M as an Underwriting Assistant in the Business insurance Unit covering Property and Casualty lines. Michaela spent one year with the mutual, OIL (Oil Insurance Limited) as an Insurance Analyst, writing Property insurance for oil and energy companies.

Michaela joined Amlin Bermuda in early 2006 as Underwriting Assistant and was promoted to Assistant Underwriter in April 2007. She has obtained her CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters) designation and AU (Associate in Underwriting) designation from the American Institute for CPCU and Insurance Institute of America respectively.
